Client Administrator at Skogome Prison
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand facilities, and client transport.
The Skogome area is the largest prison in Sweden for male offenders convicted of sexual crimes, classified as security class 2. There is also a smaller psychiatric care unit. Skogome Prison opened in 1957 and is located at Lillhagsvägen 301 on Hisingen in Gothenburg. The prison currently has about 250 employees distributed across several different professional groups and competencies. In a renovation and new construction project starting this year, the prison will nearly double its capacity, with more modern facilities and larger spaces for treatment and activities.
